Update from Fiji

Hello!

I’m excited to share that the trip to Fiji went really well! Everyone attended without any issues, and they were able to learn God’s word through symbols over the course of four days. Please continue to pray for the local team as they reach out to uneducated deaf individuals in remote villages and islands, teaching them to understand God’s word through symbols.

Initially, we thought we would meet with the President of Fiji, but due to a miscommunication, that didn’t happen. Instead, we were redirected to Vanuatu, where we met with government officials and leaders from various organizations. While the President of Vanuatu couldn’t attend, he sent a representative in his place. The meeting was successful, and praise God, they understood my presentation about the deaf community and their culture. The officials showed interest in helping the deaf community, which is significant because there is no established sign language in Vanuatu. Many deaf people remain in their home villages, as venturing out often leads to harassment and harm from others. Please pray that this meeting will open doors for the Gospel to reach the deaf community in Vanuatu.

As of now, I don’t have any upcoming trips planned. However, I will continue working on community-checking resources to help teams ensure the accuracy of their Bible translations.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support!
